Pretty mental? YES.
The singer, Eric, regaled us with tales of the absurd; “You know Bowie? You know Jack Nicholson?” (yes) “Foxy Shazam! Is the first album they worked on together”. It was brilliant. My friend Chris described it as ‘if Monotonix grew up listening to Queen’. I’d agree with that, and throw in some Man Man for good measure. An insane combo. Eric sings with a falsetto and has a squeaky high pitched voice, which made everything even more ridiculously comical.
The whole band were nuts and climbed on whatever they could, writhed on the floor… it was so fun. The songs were really poppy and actually very enjoyable too.

And he ate them. Actually ate them. Properly. Like, he ACTUALLY ate them. It all went down his throat, he didn’t spit anything out or anything.
There’s no way that could have been pleasant.
Amazing/disgusting. Very impressive.
An excellent live band and a brilliant end to a week of fairly ’serious’ music. Some brilliant, light hearted fun. Would definitely recommend catching this band.
