The other week I bumped into these three talented folk at CAMP catching Sam Amidon/Caitlin Rose’s pre-Green Man show. I really think Peggy Sue are an excellent live band and they’ve made a great record, ‘Fossils and Other Phantoms’, out this year via Witchita.
I wanted to note that they have a big headline show coming up soon, on September 28th, at the Scala. Get a ticket and go a long. It’ll be lovely!
Here’s a video of them doing ‘Fossils’ in Brooklyn:
And this is what they say about it:
We spent the evening of our Brooklyn show at She Keeps Bees apartment in Brooklyn much fun was had. However, there was a lot of sore heads in the morning which were comforted with copious amounts of coffee a waffles. We were getting ready to hit the road and so decided to recorded this song there and then with Jess’ guitar and Andy’s drum. So once again not the most famous of places but ‘a place’ nevertheless.
Awesome. That show I set up at The Black Heart with She Keeps Bees and ’secret’ guests Peggy Sue seems like forever ago now, but it’s still easily one of my favourite shows ever.
It‘s quiet in here! Why not say something?
