Monotonix at CAMP Basement

Monotonix are so much fun; a brilliant live act. The Israeli trio perform pretty much the whole set amongst the crowd and play with so much energy. This show in the basement of CAMP was my third time seeing them and I think I had a grin on my face the entire time.
They played on the bar, on the audience, in the toilets…. the show moved around the whole venue. Water and bodies were thrown everywhere, things were broken, short shorts were temporarily removed to reveal rear ends… it was complete mayhem. Holding very expensive camera gear made me a bit nervous to get stuck in, but… it’s way more fun to just do it! So I got right in there amongst the chaos. The crowds at Monotonix’s shows always seem to be pretty great, and, although boisterous and pushy, it’s never threatening or malicious. The audience get involved in the show and have a wonderful time and it’s actually pretty light-hearted and a whole lot of fun.
A very refreshing change to all the stationary I’m always at; hurray for movement! A great show.
Hey Anika,
I spoke to you after the gig and you told me about your site. Very cool photos! If you have anymore put them up!
